Devious Congress, lying PM, compromised Supreme Court, and a lonely fighter called Narendra Modi-Part 1
Devious Congress, lying PM, compromised Supreme Court, and lonely Narendra Modi
The
manner of Amit Shah’s arrest shows that the BJP is in dire need of
strategic thinkers to counter the grand conspiracy of the Congress
party to decimate its opposition to dust by hook or crook, using the
media, the judiciary, the bureaucracy and the entire government
machinery at its command, unmindful of the consequences of such
behaviour.
Why is the Supreme Court so keen to provide justice in an encounter case that it is using all the weapons and stratagems in its armoury to target an entire state government? Will it also show similar enthusiasm and alacrity in directing the CBI to carry on such intensive and extensive investigations in hundreds of other cases involving the encounter killing of underworld goons?
It should but it won’t. It is not even prepared to give the accused the benefit of doubt in Gujarat related cases. Its pronouncements betray a presupposition and prejudgement that the accused are guilty, and what remains to be done is to generate and fabricate evidence, in whatever way, to hang them. It has employed the CBI for this purpose alone. And the CBI, under the covert supervision of the Union Government, is busy arresting people in droves to coerce some of them into turning into tutored approvers. It is digging up witnesses out of nowhere and putting them up for a show on News channels, even before giving a charge-sheet to the accused. All kinds of stories are being conjured and fed to a media ever willing to pin down the Gujarat government.
Going by Amit Shah’s example, all ministers holding the home portfolio in various governments should be in jail, since they are supposed to be directly supervising the police force. And every police force is involved in encounter killings, more so the Delhi police, directly supervised by the Union Home Ministry. Remember the Batala House encounter - even senior Congress leaders call it a fake encounter - when a number of Indian Mujahidins (IM) from Aazamgarh were killed! Why are they not demanding the intervention of the Supreme Court in this case? Obviously, because it will not serve the political interests of the Congress party. Congress leaders like Digvijay Singh keep calling it a fake encounter to placate and please UP Muslims. He is In-charge of UP Congress. If the Supreme Court was so keen to provide justice to fake encounter victims it could have taken a suo-moto cognizance of it. It has not because Batala House is not in Gujarat.
It has brazenly used
the Supreme Court and its pliant judges, and the CBI to score over its
political opponents. The rhetorical
response of the BJP to these machinations is as ludicrous as the
blatant lies of Manmohan Singh, Chidamabaram, and Sonia when they deny
the misuse of the CBI and call it an action initiated at the behest of
the Supreme Court. On whose behest the Supreme Court judges are acting
Manmohan? The wily Congress leaders take all of us to be idiots.
What
stops the BJP from taking on the Supreme Court and its compromised
judges who are so assiduously doing the bidding of the Congress
party? Right from the Best Bakery case to the transfer of riot
cases out of Gujarat and directing the CBI to carry on motivated
investigations, the land’s highest court’s conduct has been extremely
questionable. It has thrown all principles of federal democracy to the
winds, and has openly and deviously targeted Gujarat, and Modi.

The strategy is
simple. Keep throwing mud, some of it may stick. And just look at the
paradox and dichotomy, the Supreme Court itself does not consider its
pronouncements in the Gujarat Riot and Soharabuddin Encounter cases as
serious legal precedents. It admits that these cases are exceptional.
What is so exceptional about an encounter killing of a known criminal
that you have to put the entire police force of Gujarat and the State
Government in the dock? Even the Gujarat riots are not exceptional.
There have been bigger and bloodier riots in this country - the
anti-Sikh riots, the Bhagalpur riots, and the Mumbai riots.
It is a fact, and every Supreme Court
judge knows it that most of the encounter killings are prompted by the
pronouncements of the political leadership, which is under great public
pressure to show results on the crime control front. The
venality of the Indian judicial system and the prosecutors is
well-known. In such circumstances, encounter killings are the only way
to control influential and cash-rich mobsters and mafia gangs. When
Chidambaram asks the CRPF to show results in anti-Naxal operations, he
is in fact prompting the security forces to increase the dead body
count of the Naxalites. If all these cases will be brought to the doors
of the Supreme Court, it will not have time to deal with serious
constitutional issues and Chidambaram will also be cooling his heels in
jail. Going by Amit Shah’s example, all ministers holding the home portfolio in various governments should be in jail, since they are supposed to be directly supervising the police force. The
Congress Party, the media, the SC, and various other arms of the Union
Government are going beyond their brief and mandate to corner Narendra
Modi. For them, Amit Shah’s arrest is important since it will weaken
Modi. Their target is Narendra Modi, and they may succeed in their
dirty game since there is no serious resistance from the central
leadership of the BJP to thwart their continuing onslaught. Amit Shah
rightly put it in his press conference before his arrest. He told the
media that all this drama is aimed at carrying out a fake political
encounter of Narendra Modi, and his government.
Modi is being
hounded and harassed and hats off to him that he still manages the
affairs of his state so well, smilingly. If any man deserves to be the
PM of India, it is Modi, for his capacity to work efficiently under
extreme pressure.
