colludes with ruling elite
The high-flown
sentiments like ‘equality of all’ enshrined in the
constitution has become a joke. The alacrity with which the
Supreme Court granted bail to Sanjay Dutt is unprecedented in the
history of Indian jurisprudence. How can you respect these judges now?
They stopped short of flying down to Yervada to hand over their orders
with bowed heads to Sanju Baba. And the Home Minister of Maharashtra is
suspending and issuing show cause notices to ordinary mortals like
police constables who shook hands with the actor.
The reprehensible collusion between the highest court in the land and the ruling elite cannot be more evident than this. This court could not wait for a few weeks to allow the TADA court to hand over the copies of the voluminous judgement. It was in a big hurry to get Dutt out of the prison. It was not happening for the first time. Khullamkhulla had expected it all along. Everything was done as per the script written under Sonia’s instructions.
Since the departure of Justice Sabharwal, and the appointment of Mr. Justice K.G. Balakrishnan as the new CJI, the SC seems to be acting as an extension of Sonia’s kitchen cabinet. A lot of backdoor manoeuvring goes on between the Congress party and the judiciary. The present CJI was reportedly inducted as a judicial officer, a Munsif, by K. A. Narayanan, a congressman, who became the President of India later. I am sure many other judges of the Supreme Court are Congress appointees and they will be ever willing to do the bidding of their erstwhile benefactors. They are doing exactly that, helping the ruling elite in whatever way they can.
The Congress party controls three most important constitutional entities now. The Supreme Court of India, the Election Commission of India, and the Office of the President of India. It has succeeded in installing its highly motivated minions in these high positions. And as we all know, a congressman and conscience are two opposite ends of a continuum. The twains never meet. You cannot even imagine that Pratibha Patil will ever call a non Congress leader to form the next government. The constitutional authority will be blatantly abused to install and sustain a Congress led government, flouting all ethical and moral principles.
These are not the only institutions that have been corrupted and co-opted by the ruling elite. Look at the way the CBI is functioning. It has undoubtedly become the Congress Bureau of Investigation. Look at its record. All those who were close to the ruling elite are out of jail. The CBI invariably botches up their cases. It allowed Quottrocchi to walk free. Lalu Yaadav’s fodder scam is dead and buried. Sanjay Dutt’s bail plea was not even opposed and he is out, thanks to a tripartite deal between Sonia, the Supreme Court, and the CBI. Shibu Soren is out too. Mayavati was let off earlier in another bipartisan deal to ensure the smooth election of Pratibha Patil.
There will be no reinvestigation in these cases. The law ministry has to advise the CBI before it can act. That advice will never come.
What is the media doing? It does not even dwell on the obvious and immoral collusion. It highlights the exoneration of the accused and convicts, and underplays the dubious role of the ruling elite, the CBI, and the Supreme Court. The well known jurists also keep mum. The media does not seek their sound bytes either.
The victims of the Mumbai Bomb Blasts will never get justice. All the convicts will soon be walking free, citing the precedent of Sanjay Dutt’s bail. The hard work done by a conscientious public prosecutor like Ujjwal Nikam and a judge like J.N. Patel will go down the drain. Nikam is not even consulted by the CBI in the case any more. Earlier, he was being prompted by the CBI to go soft on Sanjay Dutt. Since he did not relent, the CBI ensured that Dutt got relief from the Supreme Court thanks to a CBI prosecutor handpicked by Sonia. And now even the Memons are out on bail. They will also win their appeals in the end and become successful Congress or Samajvadi Party politicians.
