Indian secularists and freedom of artistic expression

What are the secularists and all those who stood up in support of Chandramohan in the name of freedom of artistic expression doing now while Vadodara is on boil again for an artistic depiction of Prophet Mohhamed?

Vadodara is burning because some guy painted Mohammed Saheb in the nude. Let us have the views of the secular media braggarts on the artistic value of such depiction now. And what is happening in Punjab? The followers of Dera Sachha Sauda are converting back to Sikhism to save their lives since their religious head wore a dress similar to the last Guru’s artistic depiction.

Bajrang Dal and ABVP activists’ reactions were nothing compared to the way the Sikhs and the Muslims have reacted to certain depiction of their religious figures. It is violent, venomous, and vicious.

Yet a bastardised media and the secularists have nothing to say about it. They are pleading for peace. None dares denounce Akal Takht’s edicts. There is no denunciation of the Muslim rioters in Baroda as monsters and fascists either. Actually, the honourable, the learned, and the respected socialites and celebrities like Anil Dharkar, Alaque Padamsi, Govind Nihlani, and the rest will term this kind of barbarism as valid reactions to the deliberately perpetrated acts of provocation. And whatever Hussein does is harmless artistic interpretive depiction of Hindu religious icons.

Look at the reaction of the Supreme Court that takes up cases related to Gujarat with so much of alacrity, to Dera Sachha Sauda’s plea for intervention to ward off the threat posed by the Akal Takht edicts. It says it won’t interfere and cannot provide relief. Had the Muslims of Gujarat and Dawood Ibrahim sought such relief, it would have been granted without delay. Look at how our courts have been treating Abu Salem as a state guest and an absconder like Haseena Parkar, Dawood’s sister, like an uncrowned queen.

Why have Muslim goons to be placated with folded hands, whereas Hindu lumpen are derided, lambasted, and called all kinds of names. What kind of mindset is this? Let us be fair and square. You cannot practice hypocrisy so blatantly in the name of secularism. And why are people like Mahesh Bhatt and others always warning the Hindus of yet another division of India all the time?
The Hindus must learn a lesson from all this. React vociferously and strongly, when you see any of your icons being derided and ridiculed by anyone. Even if someone shows disrespect to Lord Ganesh’s personal mode of transport, the ubiquitous mice, raise your voice loudly and clearly. Not doing so will be a strategic and tactical error amounting to plain stupidity. You must understand the politics of it all. It is a blessing to have hotheads like Bajrang Dal activists around. Bhay binu hoi na preet. No fear, no love. Don’t let anyone get too careless about the matters of your faith. Don’t tolerate those who are intolerant because if you do that, the whole world will be running roughshod over you.

And don’t ever get benumbed by all pervasive secularist propaganda spearheaded by people who seem to represent the Indian intelligentsia. They represent nothing and have no real stake in this country’s welfare. They are only committed to their survival and the continuation of their corrupt and degenerate lifestyles. Since none will really care for these mediocrities in New York or London, they stay put in India in majboori.

The Sikhs should not forget that there is no place on this earth other than this country, which is truly their own, and where they can practice their Panth with confidence, feeling at home with their kachha, kanghi, kesh, and kripan, holding their turbaned heads high as true Sardars. Whatever the Congress party did to them in 1984, can never be forgiven; but the Congress party is not India. They must not play into the hands of Pakistanis and Khalistanis. The scheming bastards, who are playing dirty games with the covert support of the ISI and influential and rich Sikh NRIs sitting in Karachi, Canada, London, and the USA, should be watched, exposed, and neutralised before it is too late.

The paralysis that grips P.S. Badal while dealing with dangerous mischief-mongers in his community is an old problem. He must find a cure for it ASAP before being rendered irrelevant as has happened in the past.
