He is right. Let us not be careless about our nation now. Let us not turn the coming elections into a SMS vote of reality TV kind where bad singers become Indian Idols because of their good looks and smiles. This is not a beauty contest folks.

Think hard, get your perspectives right, and do not go by the blatantly biased media propaganda and suave talk of TV commentators. Think real and make an informed choice in the interest of the nation. And please, please bear in mind that our nation is under attack, from within and without. We are in a tight spot.

We are surrounded by nations who are hostile to us. Bangladesh, Pakistan, China, the Talibani Afghanistan, and Nepal. The latest news is that the Chinese have been playing a strategic role in Sri Lankan government’s campaign to decimate the LTTE and subdue the Tamil resistance movement. Sadly, the short sighted and mediocre Congress leadership of India has been a total failure in containing the influence of an enemy nation in this region.

Within our own territory we have Jihadi groups who have been working clandestinely to create their base using organisations like SIMI and Indian Mujahidin. They have taken advantage of the vote bank politics of the secularists to entrench themselves deep within our society. We must also not forget that the Islamist institution of Deoband, that provided ideological fodder to the Taliban, is still based in India and has been freely propagating its unique brand of Islam.

We also have the western powers who have been working diligently to bring India under their neo-colonial umbrella, by planting their stooges within our polity and using them to influence our public policy.

We must understand these things. Apathy and indifference have cost us dearly in the past. We have been forced to live like second-rate citizens in our own country because of it. For more than 900 years we have been a politically marginalized class in spite of being in majority.

It can happen yet again. We can still be politically and economically marginalised by the western powers and those who would like to see us subjugated yet again.

If we care for this nation, and wish to make it strong and prosperous and the most developed nation in the world, we must unite and work with nationalistic fervour and ensure the victory of the nationalist forces led by the BJP.
