Musharraf is certainly going bonkers

For once one feels like agreeing to Jaswant Singh's remark on Musharraf. This man is going crazy in his hatred for India and Indians. He tells white lies to journalists. His interview to Steve Coll is bizarre. He keeps on repaeting the same thing. The madcap general talks about lakhs of Kashmiris ready to take up arms in Kashmir against the Indian government. It seems he has started to believe in his own propoganda Newsreels that are telecast day and night from PTV. One would also like to know what Steve Coll personally thinks of Musharraf's interview.

It should be clear to Bush and the rest that they are dealing with a mentally unstable army general. It is quite possible for this guy to start a nuclear war in the region to fulfill some of his megalomaniacal obsessions. The world community should demand from countries like China to drill some sense into this fellow before things go out of hand.

Indian response to the Pakistani misdeeds is not a major issue now. How to contain and neutralise Musharraf and his other equally madcap minions is the question we should seek answer to.

Earlier, we felt as if Mushaarrf was a smart planner and tactician. He had turned out to be a foolish general in the final analysis. This is really disturbing. Smart enemies are any day better than foolish ones.
