King Vajpayee goes on yet another vacation

While Saddam, Bush, Blair, Putin, Chirac, and a whole host of other world leaders will be remembered for some of their deeds or misdeeds that impacted the world in a big way, Vajpayee's most significant achievements as a PM have been his seasonal sojourns and  his knee operations. And while he is on vacation, he also muses and his implants in the media dutifully subject the whole nation to third class literary stuff churned out by a senile mind.

Khullamkhulla advises our lame duck PM that he should go on a permanent vacation as soon as possible. What is he doing in Delhi? What kind of RSS Pracharak is Vajpayee? What about the huge task of nation building? Who will take care of that while the PM rests and muses and his courtiers circulate titbits about what he eats and shits?

The BJP characters compared this PM to Chanakya, the ugly Brahmin who transformed a shepherd into a king called Chandrgupt, who in turn gave hell to Alexander the great and ultimately sent him and his cohorts packing. One of Alexander's great generals also gave away his daughter in marriage to this Indian king before saying good bye to his dreams of conquering and mastering India.

In RSS schools, known as Saraswati Shishu Mandirs, we were taught a story about Chanakya. Once someone came to meet Chanakya at his humble dwellings, probably a hut, for some personal work. Chanakya was busy with the matters of the state, clearing important files. It was late in the night. The visitor had to wait till the matters of the state were dealt with and then he was ushered inside the dwelling. As Chanakya realized that the visitor had some personal work, he extinguished the oil lamp in the room. The visitor was surprised and he asked Chanakya as to why did he do that. Chanakya told him that the lamp was burning with the oil provided by the state and he could not let it be wasted over a personal meeting.

Now, look at this modern day Chanakya, a graduate of the RSS school of thought, and his behaviour. He behaves like one of those Nawabs who felt it was the duty of the common people to provide for their luxuries and comforts. His ministers cut subsidies that give notional relief to the people of this country but shamelessly subsidize the vacations of the lame duck PM and his adopted family. At the same time ordinary people in this country die of heat wave, cold wave, hunger, terrorist attacks, system failures, and of sheer governmental apathy.

Some people may take this as making a mountain out of a mole hill. Everyone needs rest. The PM too needs rest. Khullamkhulla does not think so. An Indian Prime Minister cannot afford rest. There is so much to be done. How can Vajpayee even imagine about resting unless he is sick in mind and body?

We can safely conclude now that Vajpayee is a sick PM, physically, mentally, spiritually, and morally. If he needs so much of rest round the year, he is really sick. And the stories of his sojourns are still more sickening.

What has the RSS to say about it? This organization is going downhill. It has discarded its great traditions and has been spending all its energy in sustaining the likes of Vajpayee. It nurtures self-serving characters who use it as a conduit to gain access to the people in power. Those who are already in power have also lost their mental balance and are generally incompetent. They seek approval and acceptance of the business lobbies and upper classes, while forgetting their origin.

This is the reason the BJP's mass base is fast dwindling. These guys are never returned to power twice in any of the states where they once rule except in extremely exceptional cases like Gujarat. In complete contrast, the Marxists have retained and consolidated their sway over the masses. Time and again they are returned to power. They remain unshaken in their strongholds.

There was a time people considered the BJP and the CPM as cadre based organizations with leaders whose personal integrity and dedication to their ideology could not be questioned. This is not the case with the BJP any more. One still hears stories of CPM chief ministers and leaders living frugally, and donating their salaries to the party fund. This must be leaving some positive impression on the people in their areas. This country is known to revere the men and and women of renunciation. Though the communists always denounced Vivekananda, they did what the great Sanyasin had exhorted the young and the educated of the country to do. He wanted them to forget about name and fame and their own salvation and go out and give life building ideas to millions of our countrymen so that they could help themselves and beat the vicious circle of poverty, exploitation, ignorance, and dehumanized existence. He had said that each one of us who turns away from the poor and the exploited after having been educated at their cost, is a traitor.

Vajpayee too talks about Vivekananda once in a while. But he merely talks, like all other young and old leaders of the BJP who can talk but cannot really walk the talk. These guys simply care for power. People do not matter to them.

According to  Swami Vivekanand all these fellows are traitors. They have forgotten their 'Shakha'  prayer, they have forgotten the ideas that hold the ideological foundation of their Parivar. Their love for power has blinded them.

That is why instead of giving up all their comforts for the upliftment of their countrymen, they have been holidaying in exotic locales, far from the grime, dust, heat, and squalor common Indians live with.

They are all traitors to the cause they professed to espouse. And Vajpayee is their leader now.

Swami Vivekanand died young as he felt the pain of the poor sons and daughters of Mother India. His suffering was great. At a very young age he contracted all those psycho-somatic ailments. He worried so much for all of us. He could not bear the idea of Indians being treated badly.

Here, we have a Prime Minister who is saving himself to live till hundred years and who probably would like us to bear the burden of his pathetic and shameless existence. He is least concerned about our suffering.
