We cried for you America

We Indians are emotional people Mr. Bush. We are not shy of shedding tears. We cried with you on 11th September, 2001.

We also cried and prayed when the lives of your astronauts were in danger.

We cried when one of your great Presidents JFK was killed. We always considered him a good friend and a fine humanbeing.

Millions of us, with the rest of the humanity, have always shared in your joys and sorrows.

We marveled at your marketing and technological skills when we bought smuggled goods with made in USA labels and used them as a status symbol and made fun of indigenously produced stuff.

We looked up to you as a friend even if you looked down at us as an ally of the USSR, your erstwhile cold war enemy.

When we supported NAM as a grand idea in a bi-polar global polity, you wrongly felt  that  we were serving the cause of the USSR.

You never tried to understand us.

You did not even recognize that we had never eyed and envied someone's wealth and property and never crossed our boundaries to conquer and subjugate nations and the races.

We have never created colonies in far off lands to plunder and exploit the wealth  and natural resources of those people.

As a nation, we have never been guided by greed.

We have the tendency to forgive and forget. We don't have permanent enemies.

We have always believed in a humanity undivided by religion, caste, color, ethnicity and geographical boundaries. We consider the whole world as one and pray for prosperity and happiness of all.

Though we would still prefer to lead a peaceful life preserving our innocence, happy in our small pleasures and pains, the world around us does not let us live in peace. Time and again we are subjected to the devious and murderous onslaught of barbarians who take advantage of our democratic polity, our tolerance and our basic goodness and wage wars against us.

This is the reason we can feel your pain even though you do not share ours as your foreign policy is mostly driven and dictated by your self interest and not necessarily by a larger principle and cause.

For the last ten years Pakistan has been exporting terrorism to our land. It has been trying to drive a wedge among us using religion as a tool. Thousands of innocent lives have been lost in this naked dance of terrorism. You have been a mute witness to all this, even refusing to acknowledge the reality.

After having lost thousands of civilian lives in attacks on your own soil you have woken up to the dangers of terrorism now.

We hoped you will not be selective in your approach and will take a principled stand against this scourge.

This does not seem to be the case.

You have lost the war before it has begun, by following a self-serving approach. This has not served you well in the past anywhere, neither in Korea nor in Vietnam. It has only demonized you as a nation entity in the eyes of many. Today, even if you wage a well meaning war against terrorism, you will be perceived as a self serving demon, a threat to humanity. You will loose sympathy of all one by one.

You have already lost the sympathy of 100 crore Indians by condoning Pakistan and its terrorist arm ISI and rewarding them for protecting Osama Bin Laden, Taliban, and Indian mafia dons and keeping them in good health with supply of men, money and material.

You are still trying to make friends on the strength of your money and might instead of shared values and principles. This will lead you nowhere.

Money cannot buy you friends America, it sure can get you mercenaries, who will be with you as long as they keep getting your billions in free aid. In all probability these billions will go into the hands of your enemies and they will continue killing your citizens . They will fight you with the money and material supplied by you, exactly the way it was done in attacking the twin towers of WTC.

It were you America who provided those murdering goons with all the resources to carry out their dastardly acts.

You are not serious about this war America and you are going to come out of it with a bloody nose and a broken back. It may probably spell your doom as the remaining super power of the world.

May God save you from your devious friends and foes America.

May God give you wisdom to think clearly and act correctly.
