
French film My Little Princess wins big at 13th Mumbai Film Festival (MFF)
The international competition Jury headed by Hugh Hudson sprung a surprise by awarding three top awards of the 13th Mumbai Film Festival (MFF) to the French film MY LITTLE PRINCESS by Eva Ionesco side-lining the other strong contenders in competition like LAS ACACIAS by Pablo Giorgelli, and HISTÓRIAS QUE SÓ EXISTEM QUANDO SÃO LEMBRADAS by Julia Murat. The film won Best Film, Best Director and Best Actress Awards and a cash purse of US $ 100,000.
The eight-day festival closed with a heart warmer 3D Hollywood film Dolphin Tale by Charles Martin Smith starring Morgan Freeman, and Ashley Judd. The film has done well at the US box office and will soon be released in India. The festival had also opened with the Bennett Miller directed Brad Pitt starrer Hollywood pic MONEYBALL.
The 13th Mumbai Film Festival, a Reliance Entertainment initiative organized by Mumbai Academy of Moving Image (MAMI), showcased over 200 films from 60 countries across various programming sections at Cinemax Versova, Cinemax Sion and Metro Big Cinemas.
