WHAT IS GOING ON HERE? THE INDO-US NUKE DEAL IS OBVIOUSLY AN ENTRAPMENT.
And it has nothing to do with Manmohan Singh, a pawn
that can be conveniently sacrificed to save queen Sonia, an undeclared
agent of the western powers and the church. They have worked hard at
propping her up and the idea of this kind of a deal was mooted and
promoted at their behest to bring India into the western orbit, tying
it up into all kinds of arrangements and agreements to make it
impossible for it to act against their interests.
Manmohan Singh was installed
as a dummy as a pre-planned strategy to shield Sonia from direct
political attack from the opposition. What has he done as the
Prime Minister of India, apart from heading cabinet meetings and
signing on the dotted lines? He has not even delivered a worthwhile
speech in Parliament in the last four and a half years. Who really
cares for him? Neither does he care for anything but to do the bidding
of his queen and the prince. That is his character, shared by every
Congress leader. They cannot stand up for any cause other than wiping
the shit off the butt of those who they think can ensure their survival
in the politics of power.
So, all this talk of Manmohan Singh quitting over the Nuke Deal is a big joke. What
difference will it make if he quits? What does he have to do with this
deal? He may not even be aware of its details. That is what one gathers
going by his speech in the Parliament when the deal was discussed in a
superficial way. He read out a prepared statement. His role in the deal
was confined to couriering papers between Washington and New Delhi. THE
ORIGINAL DRAFT OF THE DEAL CAME FROM WASHINGTON AND AFTER THE CUSTOMARY
BACK AND FORTH DIPLOMACY AND WITH A FEW MINOR GRAMMATICAL CHANGES HERE
AND THERE, IT WAS SIGNED AS A HISTORIC PACT.
I
am not able to understand why the pressure tactics being used by the
pro-deal lobby in India coincide with the threatening pronouncements
and postures of Washington politicians of all shades. Now Russians are
pitching in for the deal too. Even the Chinese seem to suggest it is
good for India. Obama and McCain, presumptive presidential nominees,
find time to put in a few words for the deal during their busy
campaigns. It sounds like a pre-scripted plot and stage-managed
charade, where everyone appears on cue, and delivers his/her lines. How
will it end? As suggested earlier at Khullamkhulla, the deal is already done.
Who are these enthusiastic
behind-the-scene strategists, micro-managing this whole thing, from
gathering sound bytes from malleable opinion leaders to whipping
up a media frenzy to garner political support for the deal? This
is sinister and alarming. Hold on guys, it is not as simple as it
looks. It is not about shortage of electricity. It is not about
shortage of nuclear fuel for our nuke plants. We read statements like
‘every day is crucial and further delay in operationalising the
agreement will end it’, a gun has been put to our head and we are being
told to sign or else…We are being pressured into operationalising the
deal. What is the hurry? Why cannot we sit on it for a while? We are
not going to plunge into darkness in a week or in a few months. Half of
this country goes without electricity every day and is used to candles
and lanterns as their primary source of light. And there are much more
pressing problems before the nation.
Ask a
commoner what does he/she know about the deal. They know nothing.
Nobody knows anything. Yet the PM claims that the nation wants it. The
nation wants prices to be brought down. Bring them down. Do it. Why
cannot you do it? The price of crude is going up. What can we do?
Someone mentioned to ‘the ever brimming with confidence’, that ‘hot air
balloon from Tamilnadu’, our Finance Minister Chidambaram that the
crude prices may even touch USD 175 a barrel. He said he would not like
to be reminded of that nightmarish scenario. Why? What is your job?
Collecting taxes from all possible sources, giving away doles to buy
votes, and directly contributing to inflation by promoting
non-productive sectors of economy? He goes for the OPEC meet and
suggests idiotic ideas like ‘there should be a price band for crude’ as
if he is talking to ONGC officials. And he does not want to be reminded
of the impending doom. How can we expect this bespectacled dude to help
us in crisis?
There is still a lot of crude available in the market.
There are a whole lot of sellers. Nuclear fuel is a rare commodity in
comparison and comes with a lot of conditions attached to it.
Most of its supply is tightly controlled by the US and its allies. What
happens after you have invested trillions of dollars in setting up Nuke
plants and you find out that you will not get the fuel to run them. You
will crawl on all fours and beg for that fuel. Since we know now that
all this investment will barely meet three to six percent of our energy
requirement, why is the public fed the canard that this deal will solve
all our energy problems? We are being misinformed and hoodwinked. Why?
And why do
we have to sign this deal with the US to augment the supply of the
Nuclear fuel? The Americans don’t have Uranium, the Russians have. We should be
dealing with them. Why are we so keen to buy Uranium from the
Australians? It is obvious now. The US wants 1. to control our
Nuclear programme under the pretext of this deal, and 2. to have an
increased say in our domestic affairs. Who knows, we can be told
that Sonia Maino must be the PM of India if you want the fuel.
Until now, the US sanctions against India have not been effective;
after the deal, they can cripple us and trillions of dollars worth
investment will go down the drain. And don’t we know that these western
powers are ever willing to suggest how the affairs of a state should be
run? Don’t we? They keep doing it in the African continent and
everywhere else. If you don’t fall in line, you are immediately
declared an evil devil and subjected to sanctions.
The Chinese and the Pakistanis are keeping mum over it and waiting for it to get operationalised for this reason alone.
They know we will be in a big jam and it will help their cause
better. They will not have to use their espionage agents to find
out about the state of our nuclear programme. The CIA will do the job
for them. They are part of this conspiracy and that is why the studied
silence. And Sonia and her team are part of it too, sub-serving the
cause of the western powers. We must not forget that once the deal is
operationalised, the IAEA will have total supervisory control over all
our civilian reactors in direct violation of our territorial
sovereignty. You cannot stop the IAEA inspectors from doing whatever
they want to do. And don’t we know who they are and who do they report
to actually?
The Congress party is even willing to sleep with its sworn enemies to get the deal through.
It is trying to muster support from all and sundry, even from the Shiv
Sena, a party led by a guy who won’t know the difference between
Uranium 235 and the sand of Mumbai’s Chaupati. What matters to him is a
sense of false importance, and money, and whoever offers these, becomes
his buddy. He has issued statements against the left parties for
opposing the deal. He must have been convinced about this by
America’s Indian lobbyists in Mumbai who are funded by the CIA. He
claims that he likes the Americans because they crushed the Islamists
under the leadership of Bush. He does not want to abandon his
Hindutva plank. And there are a few Hindu leaders who think that
proximity with the US is a must to fight Islam in India. It is an old
mindset. The 1857 War of India’s Independence was lost because of it.
Many among Hindus and Sikhs felt it was better to be ruled by the
British than by the Muslims. Similarly, during the Swadeshi movement in
Bengal, the Muslims sided with the British because they did not want
the Hindus to have an upper hand.
Thakare
and other imprudent Hindutva leaders have overlooked an important event
of the recent past. The same Bush administration refused Visa to
Narendra Modi, thanks to a virulent campaign of calumny run by the
Christian leaders in the US and in India who have deep contacts in the
American administration and are close confidantes of the Italian lady
in Delhi.
The people and policy makers of our nation must understand this. We
must have our independent political, economic, and internal and
external security agenda and strategy. We cannot rely on anyone in this
world to come to our aid in a moment of crisis. Our energy policy must
not be dependent on outside supplies and we have to develop indigenous
solutions to all our problems, based on our own resources. We must make
the best use of whatever we have and create a good buffer zone for our
survival. We must not invest heavily in technology that makes us
dependent on others. It will be a big mistake to do it. The Indo-US
nuke deal is exactly that, a big bad mistake, and is certainly not
designed to help us. If the USA is a great friend of India, it should
ensure that this country is treated on par with other world
powers.
We must not forget that the
Indo-US nuke deal is a definite affirmation of the Chinese
superiority in this region, since it is the only nation that enjoys veto
power in the UN Security Council. We are just one of the other
countless nations, whose wish and will do not actually matter.
And I won’t blame our lazy and free-booting public for this humiliating
state of affairs. It is the Congress party and its inept leadership
that killed the spirit of our nation. It turned us into beggars,
copycats, and freebooters. It carried forward those policies and
legacies of the British that were essentially designed to rule a
conquered nation and its people, using them as hard-working mules,
offering them a pittance in return for their servile loyalty, and
perpetuating an unjust and corrupt rule by destroying their will and
creative genius.
Dump this government before the nation is entrapped into a bad deal.
