Akanksha Khanna is no longer associated with Denis Selarka’s next untitled Konkana Sen & Ranvir Shorey Project.
The film will be directed by Amitabh Verma and produced by Selarka Films. Amitabh wrote for the National Award Winning (Best Film on Social Issues) Antardwand (2007).
Initially, Amitabh had decided to approach another actress for the lead role opposite Ranvir. But, he says, he got greedy when Ranvir said yes. "I like Ranvir and Konkona as actors and also think they share a good chemistry which can be translated on screen. I told Ranvir to pass on the script to Konkona but Ranvir warned me that their tastes differ and she might say no. Ten days later, Konkona got back saying she will do the film. She liked the script."
The film will be shot in Pondicherry and goes on floors in the end of June, 2010. According to Amitabh, "Ranvir and Konkona will be styled differently in the film.
