The silence of the BJP over anti-people policies of the UPA is surprising
Where is the main opposition? What is the leader of the opposition doing? Why is he so insensitive to the problems of people. Is he brain dead or what?
Why cannot the BJP protest over steep increase in petroleum prices? Why is it allowing the left and the UPA to take over the opposition space as well?
Where is the BJP when the UPA government makes policy decisions that take away the freedom of people and subject them to bureaucratic Daadgiri?
Why is it that the main opposition party has yet to react to the introduction of new Income Tax Return Forms by the CBDT in place of Saral forms? Look at the irony, the ruling party seems to be opposing its own government’s proposals. What is happening? Is the UPA going to play all the roles in the parliament now? What for the opposition MPs are being paid a salary then? Don’t the BJP leaders know that this move will put millions of middle class taxpayers at the mercy of the corrupt tax collectors, tax lawyers, and accountants? When are they going to fight for the people and their problems instead of making headlines by issuing statements on drug addict sons of deceased leaders cum fixers?
How come the BJP leadership fails to react to the misuse of the LIC, UTI, and RBI coffers to prop up the sagging morale and moods at the Stock Exchanges? This is exactly what led to the erosion of the savings of millions of investors in the past. The Finance Ministry is resorting to the old tactics again and small investors will finally suffer the consequences of these actions. Chidamabaram exhorts the people to use the MF route to investment in the Stock Market and paints a rosy picture of everything just to augment his tax collections. He is being asked to do so to organise money for unproductive projects to bribe voters. None investigates and protests against these underhand policies and practices.
Why is it that the BJP keeps mum over the callous disregard shown by various government departments in honest implementation of the Rights of Information Act? This act has become a joke now. How many of the BJP activists have made use of the act to unearth important information and nail the lies of the UPA government?
Why is Advani silent over rising prices due to the implementation of VAT and other clandestine tax collection schemes of various governments to collect good money and squander it on unproductive populist schemes? Why does not he talk about gross misuse of money on wasteful government schemes?
What is the BJP doing as the main opposition party? Nothing. It seems it has no contributions to make to this nation's growth as a political party and the main opposition. Why should it exist then? All the BJP MPs should resign and take Sanyas now. Their party organisation is dead and the leadership has gone into a coma. They have lost the capacity to think and strategise. They are no more in touch with ground realities and have lost all sense of direction.
