Vajpayee finally bites the hand that fed and nurtured him
 

Bastardization of Vajpayee brand of politics is complete. The man has betrayed his own mother. He has become so fond of hearing only good things about himself that he does not brook criticism from those who still wish him well. Who does he trust? He trusts all those 'yes men' and fixers who have given a go bye to every principle and ideology to stay in power. The Vajpayee Durbar is at work. This stupid PM, after failing to get his Nobel, is now trying to do an Indira Gandhi. He is trying to project himself as the supreme leader of Sangh Parivar, who should not be criticized and questioned. What is he planning? Does he wish to divide the Parivar into two, the way Indira divided the Congress? It seems he is again being carried away by the popularity surveys. He has forgotten what happened to him in 1984 when he was perceived as the second most popular politician after Indira Gandhi and as soon as Rajiv came onto the scene the guy (Vajapayee) could not even win the popularity contest against a turncoat like Madhavrao.

He has also forgotten the fact that once he was projected as the CM of UP by the Jansangh strategists after the demise of the last great leader of Jansangh, Deendayal Upadhyay. He could get the Jansangh merely 40 seats with all his charisma whereas it had 90 seats in the dissolved assembly when Ramprakash Gupta was the deputy CM in the Charan Singh led SVD ministry.

Vajpayee, the paper tiger, is having luncheon meeting with sundry editors and speaking his mind out to them. He complains that the criticism from the RSS quarters has damaged the reputation of his government. This is bastardism of worst kind. The simple and straightforward fact is that the misdeeds of Vajpayee and his cronies is damaging the reputation and credibility of the RSS.

In spite of this, some RSS guys keep defending Vajpayee by inventing all kinds of excuses on his behalf. And Vajpayee, Pramod Mahajan, and the rest of the PMO gang treats them and their opinions as trash.

Prabhu Chawala, the jackass of a journalist, calls it an attempt by the PM to assert and extricate himself from the clutches of the RSS and deliver on his promises. He makes it sound as if Vajpayee is not able to perform because of the RSS pressure. Who has stopped Vajpayee from performing? He has done everything in his own way so far. This 'no vision' PM has proven to be the worst non performing asset for the country and the RSS as well. Sooner he is dumped better will it be for the people of our country.

One wonders if Vajpayee is also planning to project himself as the convergence point of anti congress forces. He is quiet capable of nursing a dream of this nature. As he reaches the twilight zone of his political career, he may attempt the worst to survive. This perhaps could be the reason that he took the trouble of informing the editors of language papers that it is only because of him that the coalition is surviving. This is what we call megalomania. Tomorrow, his 'Chamchas' may start inventing slogans like 'NDA is Vajpayee, and Vajpayee is NDA'. They may even do a D.K.Barooah in their blind enthusiasm and start comparing Vajpayee with India. They did compare him with 'Chanakya' once. Chanakya worked for the nation, Vajpayee works for his minions, big money, and his upkeep.

Look at what Vajpayee has done to the BJP organization? Under the huge pressure of defending the third rate government of Vajpayee, the BJP organization is huffing and puffing and dying an untimely death. Here too the 'Vidushak' imitates Indira and Nehru. He forgets one thing though. The BJP has not come to power because of him. The BJP has lost ground in its strongholds under his leadership. If the party sees some hope in UP today, it is not because of him and Lalji Tandon and Kalraj Mishra. It is some smart strategising by Rajnath Singh that may work there. The incompetent megalomaniac should know that Indira and Nehru had some vision of their own. Vajpayee works with a vision borrowed from his small time minions and sundry 'Naukarshahs'.

Very soon he will be proclaiming in his public meetings, like Indira, that he tries his best but the system fails him. He will blame the whole world for his failure but his own stupidity and incompetence. Thankfully there won't be many takers as Vajpayee has no base of his own, just like V.P.Singh and Chandrashekhar. His survival in politics has mainly depended on the hard work done by selfless RSS workers. He cannot win even a parliamentary election on his own.

Vajpayee is scared of loosing power now. He knows, once out of power, he will be a non-entity. And he will be trying his best to work out a strategy to survive. But his jaded mind can only think of predictable and time worn strategies that have stopped working since long. In the coming months we will see many stupid attempts by the PM to rejuvenate his political fortunes. None would succeed because the doddering PM can only see conspiracies in criticism and has niether vision nor concern to look after the interst of the people of this country.

We hope the day of deliverance is not very far.
