The Organizers
The festival is organized by the Asian Film Foundation along with Parbhat Chitra Mandal, NFDC, Y.B.Chavan Pratisthan, Plaza Theatre, and supported by the Govt. of Maharashtra in association with the Express Group of Newspapers. Indian Airlines, Grand Hotel, Bright Advertising Agency, and Inox are also backing the festival financially or otherwise.
Surprisingly, P.L.Deshpande Academy is not one of the venues of the festival. Only the opening ceremony will be held there. Why? What are they going to do with three state of the art screens there if not use them for such festivals?
